Born and raised on the Gulf Coast (both us and our chocolate company) the terroir of our birth informs the terroir of our concoctions.
We two, known affectionately as Bapak and Ibu, are partners in business and life.
We hope you feel as passionate about our chocolates as we do creating them for you.
Our cacao beans are sourced conscientiously and scrupulously from diligent, ethical vendors. We work with importers who are ardent about working with farmers to create a better product and paying those farmers for their efforts. These cacao beans are the top 5% of beans available on the market.
Once this exceptional product gets to us we hand sort, roast, crack, winnow, grind, temper then, finally, mold and package our creations for your enjoyment.
Our chocolate is a a very personal tasting journey. Often we are asked “What am I tasting?” Our response: “Let’s explore this.”
While it may sound ambiguous we want the experience to be unique to you.
Within our process we strive to bring out the unique flavors, terroir and nuances of each bean variety. We invite you to explore the subtleties; note the textures; enjoy the journey. And ask ALL the questions you can think of! We are happy to assist you on this indigenous cacao journey.
